Edward Escudero – Vice Chairman
Edward Escudero is President and CEO of Sierra Finance, a finance company that specializes in providing various types of capital alternatives to small companies. Ed is also the Executive Vice-President and CFO of C&R Distributing, a major distributor of fuel and lubricants and owner of various convenience stores in West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Escudero serves on several boards
including Texas State Securities Board, YWCA Foundation of El Paso, El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and University of Texas at El Paso (Internal Audit Committee). Escudero is also a member of several associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the El Paso Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to his current positions, Escudero was the Secretary and CFO of Petro Stopping Centers, L.P. During his tenure, Petro grew to have locations in over 34 states and sales of over $2 billion. He held the vital role of managing various departments such as accounting, legal, human resources, audit, financial planning, and information systems. In 2007, Escudero was instrumental in assembling the sale of Petro for over $700 million.
Escudero received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso. He and his wife, Margie, have two children.
