Support the region's life sciences boom
Currently, the MCA Foundation is embarking on a campaign to raise funds for the numerous projects underway to building a vibrant and prosperous healthcare and life sciences economy in the Paso del Norte region.
As the “keeper of the vision” for the Medical Center of the Americas, the Foundation has succeeded in and continues to cultivate partnerships and synergies between local institutions, neighboring states and Mexico to create a unified approach to becoming one of the finest medical centers in the nation and in the world.
A contribution to the MCA Foundation is an opportunity to make a profound and long term impact on the quality of life for the El Paso community and Paso del Norte region, as well as for the health and well-being of citizens throughout the nation and the Americas.
Use of Funds…
Your financial contributions assists will not only fund the MCA Foundation’s operating costs, but also the promulgation of the region’s community research agenda. Funds received are used for the:
• payment of MCA campus development consultant fees
• publication of Synapse, the only publication dedicated to the region’s life sciences news
• coordinated acquisition of land and property
• establishment of a biomedical research and technology park within the MCA campus
• creation of a regional life sciences database that will help with the recruiting of and communication between researchers
• building of properties that will support and attract the nation’s leading medical, healthcare and research providers
• basic operating costs
To date, all funding for the MCA Foundation has been sourced locally. This show of community support gives the Foundation the momentum needed to win national and international funding. We have already begun the process.
A variety of opportunities are provided for individuals, families, corporations, partnerships, and other foundations to make a difference in the quality of life of the communities we serve.
A challenge grant has been provided by the Hunt Family Foundation, doubling each dollar you contribute.
Corporate sponsorships of Foundation programs and initiatives provide increased visibility for the sponsor, while helping achieve the goals of matching grants by corporations.
Matching grants by corporations can double or triple the value of gifts made by their employees to the Foundation.
In-kind donations are also welcome. Contributions are tax-deductible.
