Alfredo Borrego 

 

Alfredo Borrego is an Honorary Director of the MCA Foundation Board of Directors representing the San Juan Neighborhood Association.  He helps the MCA Foundation to be transparent in its decision-making processes and in its actions.  The San Juan Neighborhood Association is the neighborhood that abuts the MCA campus to the east and south.

For the last 20 years, Borrego has been a business owner in El Paso and a longtime civic leader. Currently, he sits on the Board of Trustees for the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD), representing campuses in the Austin high school feeder pattern. Prior to his position on the Board of Trustees, he was active with the EPISD Council of PTA's, the 2000 and 2003 Bond Accountability Committees for EPISD and the VIPS & Non-Exempt Employee Committee for EPISD. He was also a PTA board member at Hawkins Elementary and Ross Middle School (1996-2004).

Borrego is a Burges High School graduate and has been president of the San Juan Neighborhood Association since August 2008.
